This was a chain mail I was sent today by a friend and it is on ‘chain mails’ itself. Hilarious, read it, enjoy it and send it to others if you want to. I hope reading this will make people reduce their quantity or their faith in the chain mails! :) Chain mails are a real spam from those already in the address book. Here it goes:

I wanted to thank all my friends and family who have forwarded chain letters to me in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and continuing it in 2009 also :P

Because of your kindness:

* I stopped drinking Coca Cola after I found out that it’s good for removing toilet stains.

* I stopped going to the movies for fear of sitting on a needle infected with AIDS.

* Forwarded hundreds of mails but still waiting for FREE DESKTOP, LAPTOP, CAMERA, CELLPHONE etc..

* I smell like a wet dog since I stopped using deodorants because they cause cancer...

* I don’t leave my car in the parking lot or any other place and sometimes I even have to walk about 7 blocks for fear that someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.

* I also stopped answering the phone for fear that they may ask me to dial a stupid number and then I get a phone bill with calls to Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and Tokyo.

* I also stopped drinking anything out of a can for fear that I will get sick from the rat faeces and urine.

* When I go to parties, I don’t look at any girl, no matter how hot she is, for fear that she will take me to a hotel, drug me, then take my kidneys and leave me taking a nap in a bathtub full of ice.

* I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.. (Poor girl! she’s been 7 since 1993...)

* Still open to help somebody from Nigeria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle’s property of $ 100 million. So much trustworthy.

* I have forwarded 35 emails to 400 people hoping that Ericsson or Nokia will send me latest mobile phones but those models are also obsolete now.

* Made some Hundred wishes before forwarding those Ganesh , Tirupathi Balaji pics etc. Now most of those ‘Wishes’ are already married (to someone else)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you do not send this e-mail to at least 11,246 people in the next 10 seconds, a bird will Pee on your head today at 6:30pm.

Nothing has happened till now.....................but who knows. So please forward.

P. S. : The model in the pic is Latina model Lisa Angeline.

OK, we have had enough talks in the last year and enough clashes over language and regional divide. Hindi speakers are being a little bit discriminated now in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and the entire south India.

Raj Thackeray claims that the north Indians don’t respect the local culture and language, i. e. Marathi and impose Hindi in the garb of ‘national language’. (Visit this for reading what his thoughts are on his official website and not what media claims, this and this for a good interview). Same feeling is felt among the Bangalore locals, and the elite also supports in this. BY the way, where are they wrong? For a Marathi, Pune is the culture capital and they would like all cultural activities there, or an influence of Marathi there, whereas same is the case with Kannadigas regarding Bangalore. In Bangalore, a resentment against the north Indians is already visible. We can’t hide our heads in the sand and ignore the problem as if nothing has happened.

In BMC (Mumbai’s municipal corporation), Samajwadi party activists wanted Marathi to be removed from the office and instead wanted Hindi to be the official language all across Mumbai. Same is in Bangalore. no such political party has yet been formed, but north Indians are in a way requested to learn Kannadiga.

A term called “Hindi Imperialism” has come to birth. We need not have to ponder over the Bihari recruits found in Railways. Lalu ensured their jobs though illegally, and now even in Hyderabad’s South Central Railway Division, there are 80% Bihari employees, in Mumbai there are 95%! So, wouldn’t locals resent?

So, finally coming to the main issue, what do we do regarding the language problem? Okay, Hindi is the national language and all, but doesn’t the sovereignty of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu doesn’t mean anything? If north Indians, or for that matter, any other language speakers are say settled in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmadabad, for a period of 5 years or more, shouldn’t they learn the basics of local language and give respect to the place where they have got their jobs or business settled? Will it not make them better Indians? The free Marathi class started by MNS got a pathetic response. The media and people blame politicians for dividing India, but are the people really that worthy of Indian integrity?

Today, pluralism of races is virtually non - existent in the Hindi speaking states. How many places can one show in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh or Bihar that have people settling in who talk various languages? Most of these people have never seen non - Hindi speaking people.

Today, Hindi is compelled to learn in all states. the south Indians find it particularly difficult and a bit of burden as Hindi bears little or no resemblance with the 4 south Indian languages. But, then shouldn’t at least one regional language of India be compelled in the Hindi speaking states? What is the problem if Hindi speaking states are compelled to learn one regional language, viz. any one of the following: Punjabi, Kashmiri, Bengali, Rajasthani, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannadiga, Telugu, Oriya, Tamil, Malayalam. I am saying any one, not all. Alternately, every new year of the school, basics of all this language may be taught to school students. I can’t get what’s the matter regarding this, as I find this is only going to help integrate the nation better. I don’t think there will be a stiff opposition from these states, and if there is, “Hindi imperialism” will be taken seriously.

In all these states where pluralism is non - existent, the availability of one teacher teaching all these languages would give a glimpse to the students on how different languages and cultures in India are. The non - Hindi speaking people of India are not second rate citizens and that is something that should be imbibed in the school students of Hindi speaking students.

Look at France, Japan, Germany or the eastern nations, those protecting and respecting their culture, language and literature build societies with good self - esteem and confidence. That fact is visible even in India where the non - Hindi states respecting their culture are developing like Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Oh, what’s this? Funny thing is that my spell check shows Obama as an incorrect word! I’ve added in the dictionary now, but in the MS-Word 2003 version, it was suggesting Osama (Bin Laden) at the place of Obama!

Even though I’m not from America, I couldn’t care less for the American politics issue as it affects everyone in this world.

Well, but what change is Obama going to bring exactly? He has been an impressive person, a wonderful spokesman, and has garnered a lot of positive publicity for himself. He has been talking of all good things.

But, what has he ever, actually delivered?

I am unaware of his record of what he did in his Illinois political career, but somewhere I think he is a ‘more talk and less work’ kind of a fellow. The news that inform about him are generally of his personal life. How he is a secular person and carries a Hanuman idol, and he is on a vacation to Hawaii and all such stuff. His political leanings though don’t sound anything great and precise.

Hitler once said, ‘if you tell a lie to people they won’t believe you, but if you shout your lie again and again, time comes when people tend to believe that is the only right’. Interesting? Lies can spread for centuries in this manner! But, this is for fascists.

In a democracy, I must say what will matter is an impressive talking, impressive idea, impressive drama, impressive marketing. LK Advani also seems to be dong the same and I’m finding his ads on Instablogs around here. Obama exactly did that. I have subscribed to his website, www.barackobama.com and every email they send regarding any happening of Obama, the email always pleads for donation of $25 or above.

Is it anywhere reported how Obama uses this money gathered after fund-raising?

Whatever maybe the case, I have complete confidence that Obama will work in the field of energy technology. India has missed the bus I must say. India has a great pool of engineers, the second highest number in the world only next to Chinese. India had the potential but the political will is not that high.

The country that works in the field of ET is going to have an edge over others in the world.

What are your thoughts on all these issues, folks?

26/11 was indeed India’s 9/11. The relations between the two nuclear neighbors of the Indian sub-continent have been stressed again. Terrorism is nothing new to India and most people have got used to this nonsense. There were aplenty of cowardly attacks by the home-grown enemies first, and now we have to fight this Tier-II of the group: The Non-State Actors of Pakistan. The Non-State Actors work on behalf of Pakistan and Taliban though.

In case of Pakistan, nothing like free-trade, cultural exchange in the form of movies and music, trains plying between the two countries seem to be working. A positive outcome to have come out of all this is a good harmony found between the middle-classes of the two countries. We Indians enjoy Pakistani music; Pakistanis enjoy Indian movies. Many Pakistani educated citizens were expressing their grief over the Mumbai attacks, but the Military rule in Pakistan hasn’t changed a bit. Even if it is a democracy as a cover for the world, the real men in power are those in military.

There are three main fundamental units in Pakistan. The terrorists a.k.a. non-state actors, the military, the democratic government. The terrorists do the ground level work; the military is always at an aggressive when it comes to India and they are the ones who have a good power in the government’s decisions; and the cover to represent to the world, the democratic government which is passively in support of the terrorists and the military. Not passive support, an open support we can say now. All this is certainly helping them from not being declared a ‘terrorist state’.

In case of China and Taiwan free-trade was the most wonderful thing that worked for them. The relations are not friendly now, but certainly they aren’t as stressed as before. In one of their recent elections in this decade, there were two political parties contesting for elections. One had propaganda of bringing in more businesses from their rival China in electronic component manufacturing; another had the stance on more China-related issues. People finally opted for the party which offered more jobs.

In short, motherboards won over motherlands!

Something like this in India and Pakistan issue is desirable but not that easy. Pakistan’s gravest mistake was to let open the Afghan border. That has allowed many Talibanis to come and stay in the country. Also, I doubt what holds Pakistan as a nation together apart from an anti-India stance. It would have been chopped off into pieces if this anti-India stance did not come up. A different Sindh, a different Punjab, a separate Balochistan and Waziristan, all hating the North West Frontier Province and the demand of a separate Pakhtoonistan in Afghan-Pak border was to happen in reality by now very easily. The nation still remains intact with a separate Bangladesh and the daily terrorist attacks from Taliban. The daily attacks are enough to show the Taliban’s loyalty to Pakistan even in crisis with India. Also, 4 Indians were caught by the Pakistan Police in connection with the Lahore blasts, but Taliban has accepted the responsibility for that same very attack. This one incident is enough to show whether Pakistan is a country deserving free-trade and other goodies with India or not. When Zardari’s wife was also a victim of terrorism, it seemed Zardari was a reliable bet for India on new relations with Pakistan. He is also on the radar of these terrorists, but his soft corner for them is much higher than his own late wife it seems.

Any guess, what will be next? There’s Taliban with it’s aspirations of world Islamic conquest. The biggest enemies of The Taliban are democracy, freedom and equality. Despite all their clashes with Pakistan Army, please note that Pakistan is not remotely enemy no.1 of Taliban. Their real enemy is something else. The Taliban’s chief has shown strong support to Pakistan in case if a war with India goes. They have a string army of 1000 suicide bombers ready. The martyrs who die in suicide bombing get to dance with 72 virgins in paradise is what the central theme is in brainwashing youth. Those who are unhappy with 4 provided here go on to become suicide bombers. The greed of a sexy after-life can have great impact on some closed conservative and uneducated minds. After removing democracy in Pakistan, there next target is naturally going to be India. Attempts to root out democracy have been unearthed in Bangladesh last week, and Guinea in North Africa has military rule from last 4/5 days. Shall we call them agents of Taliban?

Considering all that is happening in Pakistan, the menace of Taliban, the overall ideology of the public (of which most are uneducated and illiterate), it is very difficult for Pakistan to get a place in WTO and to become a progressive democratic state. The investment in schools and other educational institutions from Pakistan Govt. has been negligible. It can be called as nothing but a failed state. The only good thing we can expect is that Taliban should not take over Pakistan and be successful in uprooting the government out there. The controls of the nuclear bomb will go in the hands of the devil’s people then! Pakistan has not been successful in its issues with India, it hasn’t been successful as a decent economy, it hasn’t been successful in handling the attacks from Taliban terrorists, and it hasn’t been successful in at least getting a place of trust in the world as a country.

What it has ever been successful is in showing aggression to India by deploying army at border, by deploying nukes at the border.
